I actually remember Ashasx not liking the Tkachuk trade and the Kadri signing when they happened. He’s been on “team rebuild” for a while now

Remember when the Flames were hot awesome?
That was better than this.
But....when Kylington gets back its all going to get sorted out and they'll go on an epic run to the Cup! He's the key missing piece!!
Whats that? No, I have not been drinking!!

Oh, I’m serious. I may not have agreed with your take, but good on you if you actually said it.
Way too many people just go with whatever direction the wind is blowing and then try to pull out the “I told you so” when they never, in fact, said anything until after the results were in.

Seriously, which is fine.
We knew that this summer was the tipping point. It was the final moment at which this team had to decide who it was going to be.
Either 'go for it' or 'Burn it to the ground.'
They chose to go for it, and initially it looked pretty good with the acknowledgement that there was going to be some long-term pain associated with that decision.
But...

I feel like having an ex coyotes gm behind the rebuild we just got exactly what we signed up for
he made a couple great moves , but they only served to help keep the Flames in mediocrity land where they wouldn't draft anybody elite
the moves after 2015 thinking we were further ahead than we were and trying to fast track it rather than just continuing to accumulate youth and let them ripen was the downfall
same mistake the Canucks made after their bubble run .. almost to a T
the organization needs patience , needs to focus on the long game and needs to quit trying to cut corners by spending future assets
they've done it for far too long and we have never consistently amounted to anything on the ice . it's always led to them patching a sinking ship with duct tape and banking on just getting in

Maybe we can do what the Avs did in 2016-17, bottom out, draft 4th overall make the playoffs every year after and win the cup 5 years later...

Taking a while to get to 5000

Next season, when their isn't as much expectation, the team will probably be good. Thats how its been for at least the last decade or so. Media calls the team a cup contender or says they have the best D core on paper? Failure. Every time. It's weird. Doesn't matter what players are wearing the jersey.

I honestly didn’t set my hopes high going into the season. I knew there was a chance that this team would disappoint. I thought people needed to chill when they were saying the team is better than the team last year and that they needed to prove on the ice that they were better. So far they’re obviously worse

Many support the idea of a rebuild
But acknowledge it’s not happening now under this ownership

No fun to lose early on a Saturday. Oilers winning the way they did makes it more painful.

I hate that small us markets are hoarding the amount of top talent that they are
theres always a few near the bottom that are nearly impossible to out-suck for a top pick

Have been pretty meh, but still in a playoff spot. It was going to take time with so many new faces in the lineup and their strength of schedule. December is supposed to be an easier month when it comes to their schedule. Hopefully they are able to string together a few wins here.
Need to build some chemistry. These lines in their current iteration aren’t working.

Vladar kept the Flames in it.
We are really missing skill bringing the puck up ice on the PP.

Nope, let’s keep Vladar in net the full two minutes while we struggle to even gain the zone.
Hard to tell if he’s being purposely obtuse, or just falling behind the times. That’s a boneheaded coaching decision. Said by a fan that has been a huge fan of coach Sutter generally.

The way the team was fumbling and bumbling wit the puck in the 4-on-4 and the eventual extra attacker I don't think there would have been any difference. The team just seems generally checked-out. They get excited when they score...then promptly forget how to play.
Very hard to watch. Impossible to cheer for. Ugh.

is carrying a puck into the zone that difficult ?
if the smallest guy on the team was the one to do it consistently , why can't any of these guys ?
surely lindholm has the skill to skate the puck up himself and not resort to quick touches or dump and chase
gaudreau isnt here any more . need to stop playing like were waiting for a non existent player to be the carrier
take the bull by the horns and step up ffs

I think fans need to demand it. No idea why people ran out and bought Huberdeau and Kadri jerseys before they played a single game.
