Hope training camp is open to the public again, now that my youngest is almost 2 he's taken a keen interest in hockey on the TV! Would be fun to bring both boys for a free preview.

Has anyone heard if it will be?

Also hope Darryl runs it like last year with the majority of the main group together from the get go and no messing around, I think that helped the team big time last year.

Ritchie on the roster, so he must have signed a contract or PTO at least.

Yeah good point. Some people on CP complained last year that this meant he had already decided by doing this which players will make the team and which ones won't, but the results are tough to argue against.

Walker Duehr and Cooper Walker. Glad there isn't a Walker Walker!

Also would give the prospects knocking on the door/best players to actually prove they’re the best players in group 2. If guys like Pelletier/Ruzicka/Zary etc are not gonna stand out in group 2, they’re not ready for the NHL right away and should start the year with the wranglers until they prove they’re ready

I means what's to complain about? How many teams run with half a rookie roster anyways unless they are rebuilding. We are trying to win a cup, and we have a favorable schedule to start the season I think 9 of the first 10 at home.

I think more this year then last we need the main group together we are integrating a bunch of new players.

Also don't want to read into things too much, but Milano has an "NHL" number and Eakin has a high one.

Not sure that this means anything, but it's fun to look into things as much as possible in the off-season

I think Eakin's preferred number is 20 taken by Coleman. He has also worn 21 but that is taken.

So flip the 2 into a 5 for 50.

Oliver Kylington will miss the start of camp due to a family/personal reason. Treliving says it is not substance abuse issue

Mangiapane tweaked something during summer skate. Skating on his own. Should only miss the first couple days

Why would substance abuse even be mentioned?

Because Treliving wants to cut off any speculation that is the reason Oliver is not at camp.
