Yeah when it comes to best player, I'm inclined to go with the guy that plays some defense.

Jokic a monster every night it seems. A threepeat is looking more and more likely with each passing game. That's what I'm putting my money on.

FVV’s cold streak has got to be up to about a year long by now. Got to wonder if his injuries have had a long term impact.

And the bench totalled 7 points tonight. They got more fouls then points..

Luka's actually been steadily improving year over year. He looks like a plus defender to me this year in most games. But yeah obviously nowhere near Giannis on that end of the court, and it's only regular season.

I'm not sure he can win it even if he clearly deserves it... There were so many Embiid voters last year, it's really tough to get people to vote for a B2B much less three in a row. And Jokic is Jokic, not Lebron, so it's even harder to keep giving it to him. NBA MVP is kind of a dumb award.

Giannis with a collosal performance tonight.

The Celtics suddenly look very ordinary. Lost some games recently and getting blown out by the Shai-less Thunder.

Giannis with 55/10/7. What's with all of these 50+ point games all of a sudden

Well hells bells.

Nobody can be mad about this game tonight. Quite the late comeback.

Crazy comeback, but couldn’t quite pull it off. The bench was atrocious once again.

That was a crazy comeback but this team just doesn’t have it. Fred has to be dealt, even if this is selling low. I’m sure his injury last year played into it but he’s just physically not up to par, and he just seems frustrated. The Raptors have had an interesting approach relying on depth vs star power but I think now they have to go back to star power to take them there. Trade away assets and build through the draft. Barnes and Siakam moving forward. Everyone else, trade bait.

It sucks that Lebron signed an extension that precludes him from being traded. Even if he wants to play out the string in LA, he'd be so much better off reloading their assets by getting traded. Say to Memphis for Jaren Jackson.

Imagine that crunch-time 5:
Morant
Bane
Brooks
Lebron
Adams

Very interesting that Fred didn’t take the off-season offer for max salary. Thank goodness really. Really helps his value to be dealt.

Hard to say... the main thing going against his trade value is his player option expiring contract right now. A lot of teams would see more value in him as a locked-in, slightly-overpaid player rather than a pending free agent. Yeah $114m over 4 years is overvaluing him, but not so much that it would be difficult to move him, especially with a huge cap spike on the horizon that would drop the percentage-of-cap for this contract in the last couple years.

Got an interesting Score notification that Poetl has interest from the Raptors. Pretty solid centre and not old. Developed well since his Raps days. If it doesn’t cost much, sure. I do wonder why he’s on the block though? Scotty at PG (not ideal IMO, but he seems to want it), Poetl at C, Siakam at PF, not a bad build around. Consider the return for Fred, GTjr and OG and suddenly things would look up.

I know basketball has rules on physicality and getting involved, but when Magloire is getting involved it's embarrassing. GTJr was being pushed around by the idiot Lopez, and I understand the size difference on not physically attacking him, but stand up for yourself. The way GTJr walked away from him with no emotion is nonsense. This isn't the playoffs. Show emotion.

Raptors have everyone in the lineup, yet still can't beat the Giannis-less Bucks? Time to sell.

Middleton was out too, so this was about as weak as the Bucks could possibly get.

It’s time for some changes. It just isn’t working, and there isn’t any depth that could step up if you package some players to ship out. FVV and Trent are FAs at the end of the season, so trade them for whatever you can get and tank the rest of the season. We need a C that can shoot and play a bit of D.

Nice game from Barnes, but another ugly loss. Twolves were without KAT and Gobert, and played last night, and we still pulled out a loss. It’s time to pull the plug on the season.

Really wondering what an OG trade to NY or Phx would look like. I’d have to think traditionally NY picks would tend to be better, which is something the deal would have to revolve around.
