The Chinese New Year jerseys are great as are some of the other warmup jerseys worn around the league.
Does anyone know why teams only wear these special jerseys for warm-up? I assume it's because the jerseys are auctioned off during the game, but not sure. Would be cool to see them for at least a period, maybe two and then auctioned off in the 3rd.

i think a lot of it has to do with the way the league works...
teams can have a home/away/third and this year a reverse retro
special jersey allowed for an outdoor game
but that's about it for 'game worn' jerseys.
warmup jerseys... knock your socks off - st patricks day, military themed, lunar new year, etc - the teams can have a little fun. but for actual "game" jerseys the rules are pretty tight.
also, the approval process for a jersey is not a fast process. a buddy of mine was a 'higher up' at jersey city for western canada and mentioned that it's a 1-2 year process to bring out a new jersey.

I went to the North Hill Flames store this afternoon, and they have about 15 Lunar New Year's pucks for $20 each. They do not have the Columbus and Flames logos at the back as those are special warm up pucks.
Anyways, I asked them if they will get the t-shirts, they told me if the Dome has excess inventory then they will get some. Given the Dome was sold out I doubt they will have them. There will be no restock on anything LNY (pucks, t-shirts, hats, jerseys), once they are gone they are gone apparently.
Anyways I can't understand why the Flames have given up on a prime money making opportunity. But again, it is the Calgary Flames...
