The thing about Penny is she’s done a mental check as well. She didn’t swim competitively for a year. Did not do well at the Worlds and then got hard on herself mentally and She decided she wanted to do better. So far so good!!!

It is a very distinct memory from my childhood, I was 5 and I vividly remember my Mother making me stand for Oh Canada.

Whats with the light spray of water just near the surface of dive tank where the divers would enter the pool?

Obviously it would be cool to be an American seeing your country pile up the gold medals every Summer Games, but to be honest the moments like Bailey winning the 100m are such indelible moments of my life as a Canadian who loves sports, that I am happy to not be the dominant nation. It makes those types of moments so incredibly special.

I loved watching Penny get that bronze medal, I am sure Americans don't even know the names of their bronze winning athletes.

Overall the boxing has been very good. 9 minutes of fury every bout.

I think they spray water on the pool so that the surface of the water is easier to see for the divers. Keeps the water surface very visible.

That interview with Penny Oleksiak following her 100m freestyle heat... suuuper awkward.

Know when to move on, interviewer.
