I'm not sure if this deserves its own thread or not, but learning of this book today brought back a lot of CP memories!

My new place has been great but I couldn’t get over how awful the toilet seat was. It was too small for the bowl and didn’t fit right.

Took two months of being uncomfortable but today I finally went and bought a new one for like $40 and my ass feels like a million bucks. I could sit here all day.

Sometimes it’s the little things in life that makes us happy.

Agreed. Don't cheap out on a toilet seat. Same with toilet paper.
Not having a soft close seat feels so primitive.

I mean if you really think about it, a toilet seat and toilet paper upgrade barely costs more than a few bucks a month over 2 years and you'll potentially enjoy that benefit over decades.

As recommended by other CP members, I PM Troutman to discuss getting a will done up.

Wife suddenly decides to ask her mom friends wanting to do some due diligence. She messages a lawyer highly recommended to her by her friend and sends me a copy of the response...

Unbeknownst to her, she had messaged Troutman.

This wilder Fury fight makes me happy. There isn’t anything like an amazing boxing match.

I love this story, it’s so Calgary to me.

Also, of course she did! “Hey honey, this guy on the Flames Internet forum says he can help us with a will” My wife would have done the same thing!

We've found so many great people on CP for stuff that my wife routinely asks me if there's a CP recommendation when we need a service provider and don't already have a reference.

Going to soccer games with my dad makes me happy. Glad I get to spend some time with that old timer.

Yesterday was a horrible day for me. Work has really been #### kicking my mental health.

When my daughter got home from Uni she sensed something was wrong and gave me a big hug and a kiss.

We went to my boy's game in the evening and when we got home she had baked a big batch of my favourite cookies.

My Daughter's unconditional love and empathy really make me happy.

She is a good human.

My 4 year old likes to tell me a story before she falls asleep, and its always nonsense of course, but so cute. Last night I was looking forward to it after a long day at work, and she goes Dad get out, I am tired.

Even now at 17 I "put my daughter to bed". Usually that looks like me sticking my head in her room and saying good night to her and often involves a hug or kiss on the cheek.

IMO, you are taking the right steps to cement a long term relationship with your daughter.

Good on ya.

If you google ulethbridge open house, that’s my granddaughter on the billboard. She has jumped in to the university experience with both feet and loving every minute of it.

I hear you it took me 6 years after the brain tumour and minor stroke to get back to Ringette. I finally did it two seasons ago and both were effed by COVID. I'm two games into my season and am loving being back in that blue paint!
