Well to be fair, there is a sizable weight difference between your 13" MBP and a 2015 MB or even MBA. Less battery life too - 3 hrs I believe. Trade off is that your machine is about 10% more powerful than the MBA and has Retina.
Unfortunately, Apple has made it all about tradeoffs, and making you pick 3 out of 4 between battery life, lightness, processor power, and screen quality

I'm tempted, but probably waiting for v2. Can't wait to see one one the wild though. I'm sure there will be a couple around the office.

Ya I will report back. I ordered one, but not expected delivery until mid-May. Heard pre-orders are already pushing back into June.

I just don't get it. I really dislike watches so I know that I'm heavily biased but I don't see the point. Apparently demand is through the roof though (yes, I know, iSheep blah blah).

For me I'm most excited about the fitness applications. But also ordered a model I could wear at work. So got the Black stainless steel model with black sports band

A $20K watch should still be wearable in 20 years, not obsolete in 6 months.

Checked out the watch at market mall tonight. Pretty incredible piece of tech. So much nicer than any other smart watch on the market - and it's not even close. Looking forward to getting mine, though it's not too June.

Hopefully the tech part is true because it's one of the ugliest smart watches on the market, and that's not even close.
The only one that halfway looks acceptable is the Moto 360 and even that leaves a lot to be desired as an actual time piece.

I imaged a handful of laptops, of various native OS builds, to 10.10 to test the upgrade and have seen numerous problems- particularly with booting. Seems like a PRAM and SMC reset fixes things, but my guess is the general public won't know how to do this and will subsequently be making a lot of genius appts. Also seen wifi problems. Third party software compatibility is always an issue with a new OS, but there seems to be a lot more issues this time around.

Not sure if anyone is interested in this- probably not. Anyway, I have figured out that this Yosemite problem seems to be isolated to laptops that are bound to AD. An NVRAM reset followed by a boot in safe mode seems to fix. It also appears to be fixed completely in 10.10.3

I've seen issues as well. What do you mean bound to AD?

Sorry, I mean macs set up with network accounts through Active Directory- what you would typically see in a corporate environment. I didn't seem to be seeing the issue in computers operating only on local accounts, but might be wrong.

Ok Apple users who are for some reason avoiding Rdio and Spotify, iTunes is updating today to have Apple Music included. First 3 months are free, so you might as well give it a whirl.
Personally I'm interested to see if it even works. The streaming component should work as it's just Beats, but it also is supposed to integrate iTunes Match – a service that frustrated me to the point that I ran screaming to Google Music.

Is there still some shortage of Apple Watches in Canada? I have been looking for a reasonably priced used Sports version, since my Garmin Forerunner bit the dust, but the used watches on Kijiji are not a bargain. It seems like people are offloading them at near the price of new or more.
