We get it. Professional athletes are overpaid.
This line has gotten as old as the "what goal did you score?" response to referring to your favorite team as "we".

Point is how you are treated is always in reference to how another would potentially treat you. (or team/coach in this case)

The point is he was treated fairly and given a chance. He could not get it done in practice or in games when given the chance. The reason he is on the 4th line right now is because he can't get it done.

The only person to blame for not getting better minutes is Cervenka.

I'm not defending or condemning Cervenka. Just tired of the NHL hockey players deserve no sympathy because they are NHL players concept. It's been over stated.

On topic. Flames win this one 4-2

That's a lot of classical music for a hockey game.

I'd say his shooting is actually more impressive than his playmaking. It would be nice if he was a bit quicker and he obviously isn't as strong as the puck as you ideally like.

Agree with your last sentence though. If we re-sign him that is fine, if they decide to go another direction that's fine.

My point was, how has he been treated badly? Did the coach bad mouth him in the press? His playing time was indicitive of his play. He got paid to come over and play hockey. He is the worst defensive player on the team and that's saying something. It has nothing to do with him being overpaid and everything to do with him getting paid exactly what he was promised...to play a freakin game he grew up dreaming about. Poor guy.
