Sportselect Info
Flyers Win = 2.9
Overtime = 3.6
Flames Win = 1.8
Over 6.5 = 2.05
Under 6.5 = 1.45

Hoping for Elliot to spot them a few early softies to get their goal scoring confidence back after a road trip where they struggled to finish their chances, and that the Flames avoid a slow start. Last several games against Philly have been entertaining, so I'm excited that this will be my first live game of the year. I'm expecting Gaudreau will have a monster game against his hometown team and the Flames will skate away with the W 5-3. GFG!

I have to think of that if there are issues fans see with CGY’s team play then for sure the players and coaches know it to a much deeper level. These guys live and breath this. Let’s see if they can play their game consistently. However every opponent brings a new challenge as players are all good.

Last game was a great effort and building block. CGY has to keep pushing!

They can have him. There's a reason that guy has been on waivers so much.

I'm honestly baffled about it, he wasn't even that good last year and he was playing in the EIHL in Britain.

He finished 16th (!!) on his team in scoring. Sure he missed a few games, but he barely even scored over half a point-per-game.

Brian McGrattan had more points in his EIHL year.

I wouldnt mind seeing this lineup

Gaudreau - Monahan - Lucic
Tkachuk - Lindholm - Bennett
Frolik - Backlund - Reider
Mangiapane - Ryan - Czarnik

Giordano - Brodie
Hanifin - Hamonic
Kylington - Andersson

Talbot

Not because Lucic and Bennett deserve the spots, but rather it balances out the line a lot better IMHO

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.

Seems like a good lineup to roll to get some more practice on the PK

Default Seven Things to Watch for Tonight

  1. T.J. Brodie will tie Joe Nieuwendyk in games played as a Calgary Flame tonight. Nieuwendyk played 577 for the C of Red and is ranked 12th all time.
  2. Mark Giordano is 2 points from tying Wade Redden and becoming 81st in points all time for defensemen in the NHL.
  3. Milan Lucic is two goals from amassing 200 over his career.
  4. Johnny Gaudreau is 3 assists from tying Joel Otto in all time assists as a Flame. Otto currently holds the 12th spot in the franchise with 261
  5. Michael Frolik is one goal from tying Matt Stajan, Olli Jokinen and Ron Stern for Franchise goals with the Flames.
  6. Matthew Tkachuk is only 1 goal away from tying Kristian Huselius for all time franchise goals. That feat would make him 45th.
  7. Elias Lindholm is one point from tying Lee Stempniak and Brad McCrimmon, allowing him to crack the top 100 in points in under 100 games played for the Flames.

Do not want. I think he would make that whole line a black hole.

Also may send the wrong message to the group. I am about the biggest Bennett supporter on this board as you can find but gifting both those players additional minutes right now would be a horrible decision.

If players want to move up they have to earn it, can gift anything on a team who has been lackluster in the effort department so far this season.

Put together a few good games then sure but right now isn't the right time. Even after the PK Lucic should not be playing with the top line.

We really need Ryan, Frolik, Backlund, Lucic and Bennett to pull up their socks because atm they are not helping us out much.

I guess the guy has the package of size and skill (rarely displayed) that makes teams give him a chance over and over. He must be good in a job interview too.

Can't wait to see Bennett and janko light them up!

The Flames bottom 6 look really bad. Hopefully something sparks some offense for them soon
