The first concert I ever went to was Kenny & Dolly at the Saddledome.

Man, he made good chicken.


All jokes aside, this would be headline news if not for coronavirus. He definitely was among the top artists in the 80s for a short period. I remember as a kid his popularity and I may have seen him live at Exhibition Place in Toronto. I didn't realize he was that up there in age, though as a kid he was kinda scary with that beard.

Loved Kenny in my youth. First with the First Edition, then on his own. All of his songs were great to sing along with.
I think he was instrumental in changing country music to what it is today.

Some of his songs (The Gambler, etc) are some of the first songs I can remember listening to with my Dad.
