For curiosity, was the buyer a gambler? Option #2 looked like a good bet to me (even though i think the flames will win now that there's no pressure)

I had a similar deal going a few games back vs. the Ducks, and the buyer took option 2. Flames won, and I didn't have to pay anything out.
