But that doesn't necessarily mean he can't join the team at some point on this road trip.
Yeah, much like the Canucks that were cleared, he will likely need to stay in Quarantine for the 4 or 5 day period until he is confirmed cleared before they would risk putting him on a plane where there is a high chance of contamination.

If he was an Oiler you know Kevin Lowe would be demanding that he pay for his own plane ticket and play in the game.

Brad Pascal on Rob Kerr's show on Fan960 just confirmed Ferland remains in Calgary and the Flames expect to have a status update tomorrow from the medical staff.

He's got psychogenic polydipsia and alpha 1 antitrypsin deficiency. Possibly a touch of Kaspairitis as well.

Hearing that Micheal Ferland will join the #Flames in Nashville. Good News. Not official but that's the gossip.

That is good to hear, but consider the source. Millions has done this in the past, and been proven wrong unfortunately.

I will only believe it if the jugo juice or food court guy say so.

To be fair to Mr. Millions, he cautioned that it is only gossip.

give the guy a break

he's attempting to get you early news with a caveat, wouldn't you all prefer that then to have to wait until it's official?

I think people are mainly just having fun with it. No one is outraged or calling him a hack or anything.

I know my post was just poking fun at his "Hmmmmmm..." Tweet

So, is Ferland going to play the next game? That's all I really care about.

Sorry Roger.

"Flames winger Micheal Ferland did not join the Calgary Flames on their three-game road trip, due to an ongoing evaluation for the mumps.

"We're still waiting," Treliving said. "He's been feeling really good. Nothing's changed other than he's feeling better, we just haven't got the test results back.

"The good news is if he had them, he's probably past the point of being contagious. He's feeling good."

I wouldn't say sorry Roger,

I think that's what he was hinting at. Feeling better. Past the point of contagion, likely heading to Nashville is my guess.
