Löw still building on his legacy I see. At this pace they'll call it a national holiday once that chapter is closed.

the really crazy thing here is that Goran Pandev is still playing (and scoring). Haven't heard that name in a while.

Yup, and he's going to be in a major tournament for the first time this summer.

Germany equalized on a penalty. Poland have equalized as well at Wembley.

Saw this on the UEFA website minute-by-minute updates:

Quote:
At 37, Goran Pandev is the oldest player to score against Germany. The previous record was held by Norway's Hans Nordahl, who scored against Die Mannschaft in 1953 aged 35.

How could Germany hope to compete with the might of Northern Macedonia?

Thank God they dont have to play Southern Macedonia.....those guys are nuts.

I don't know who's reaction is better to that Werner miss, Gundogan dropping to his knees or the Macedonia defender putting his hands on his head in shock.

An egregious miss like that is as enjoyable as a beautiful goal, especially when its the heavy favorite.

Not sure why Greece got so bent out of shape about it. Why didn't they rename Greece to Macedon if they loved it so much?

I never knew why they were called FYRO Macendonia when it came to FIFA and UEFA for the longest time, but it was because of the Greeks getting pissy.

That's worse than the Nando one for Chelsea a few years ago

Surprised but at the same time how much longer could they ignore him? No doubt this story still has a lot to play out.

It's been so long I can't even remember why he was not playing for France. Did he retire or were there personality issues?
