No chance that the only moves will be Pitlick and or Coleman if that occurs

If those were the moves, Flames are likely sitting outside of the playoffs

The Flames need to make a big move, no clue when it will occur

(i.e. not a UFA signing, but a trade)

But I guess we'll see.
The Molson family, chiefly Geoff Molson and his brothers, are the principal owners of the Canadiens (and the Bell Centre). Molson Coors (the company) owns the Molson breweries and brand. The Molsons, I believe, still own considerable stock in Molson Coors, but as I mentioned upthread, they are no longer active in the company's management and the company has no other ties to the Habs.

Re: McKenzie's predictions

Y'all remember how he says his draft rankings are based on info actual scouts? He's got every team's list, or at least most of them. His pre-draft rankings are based on averages (which keeps things obscure enough that scouts are willing to feed him the info), but during the draft he just looks at the team picking and sees who their scout had highest out of players still available. Or they shoot him a text message once the team before has picked. Whatever.

Ta-da! Magic!

I think someone was shooting him a text
He was tweeting right when “the pick was in” came up on the screen and not before
I think someone in production or the nhl was firing him off a text

I'm excited to see who Treliving was up all night harassing with texts and phone calls. Hopefully Kevyn Adams and we get a nice juicy Eichel trade this morning.

Yeah I think it went great.

The Flames got Coronato, who most people either outright liked, or would like if they thought he would sign. He then basically said, as unequivocally as possible, that he would sign.
Best numbers and projected NHLe in the draft after maybe Guenther.

Speaking of Guenther, Vancouver made a stupid trade, picked up a bad contract, and then traded away 9 OA. Guenther, a great player, fell to that spot, and Vancouver hilariously missed out.

Edmonton had both Lysell and Wallstedt available at 20. They then tried to copy 2020 Calgary by moving down to 22. Lysell and Wallstedt were subsequently taken at 20 and 21. Edmonton had to pick a vanilla forward in a different tier.

Not much to complain about. I'm kind of bummed they missed out on Reinhart, but that's not completely draft related.
