I hope we keep the pick and draft Sillinger.

I wonder if the Sabres package 14th OA and 33rd OA to move into the top 10.
That is a pretty tempting package for someone in 7 to 10 to move down

Let's be real, I'm going to be disappointed initially no matter what happens (...unless it's Eichel, if it's Eichel...oh my).
Then after about 15 minutes my fandom will rationalize whatever does happen and I will love it. I'll then go on thinking Tree was a genius and one of the best GMs until the trade deadline in '22, where he'll be in on someone but not get them, and then the cycle of hate will once again repeat.

There's lots of smoke that they really want Eklund, so they'd have to get higher than 7th-10th (likely) to be able to pull that off - but I wouldn't put it past a guy who just turned Risto into a 1st and a 2nd and an equal defenceman.

Make it top 12, and you have a deal!
Maybe they try and nab a goalie in that range.

If you mean to the Flames pick, I doubt they are paying the 33rd to move up 1 spot.
they would need to be extremely high on the person on their list and be afraid the Flames would select him for it to happen. A lesser pick maybe.

I think LA takes Wallstedt and Chicago Cossa so both goalies are actually gone before our pick
Hughes I see going to one of his brothers teams
Clarke and McTavish are two wild cards I could maybe see “falling” to us

If clarke falls to us it would be silly not to take him.

Both goalies going top 10 would really shuffle up this draft. I think it’s more likely cossa goes somewhere in picks 14 to 20 though.

Increasingly I just don't see a faller happening. For one of the clear top 9 to fall you need to have both goalies go PLUS one other player.
The best candidate for that is maybe Sillinger. Though last year Quinn went earlier, so could a sniper like Lucius go earlier.
Plus you have CBJ in there. Who the eff knows what they will do.

Nah, I know. I wouldn't mind a slight trade down though.
I do wonder about the top 9 consensus though. I would think based on limited viewings, the team's boards will look much different. I suppose you can make the counter argument as well. Either way, looking forward to it.

Is it virtual again this year?
Hopefully they have all of the livestreams properly synced up (although the Oilers picking Holloway last year was pretty funny).

Wonder how much the Coyotes at 9 changes things. are they more inclined to take a goalie?

Absolutely think they are looking goalie, which may force the hands of teams looking to move up?
