I still think Eichel gets traded to Seattle but they didn't really acquire anyone the Sabres would want unless the Sabres were targeting some odd players.

Eichel, Reinhart, and Ristolainen getting traded would make for a fun day.

Only things Seattle can offer is 2nd overall and take on the full Skinner contract.

If we make all of our own selections, we’ll have drafted 15 players in the last two years, which hasn’t happened since 2012/2013.

Of those 15, the only ones who turned into anything were Jankowski, Kulak and Monahan.

Let’s do better this time.

It would be great to see that many picks considering this GM and scouting staff had a similar run of 14 picks with some success over 15/16.

Andersson, Klyington, Mangipane, Tkachuk, Dube, Fox, and honorable mention to Phillips and maybe Parsons.

You almost have to toss out the really low rankings. If the consensus has a player in a relative tight range - chances are a team sees that player the same way and picks them there.
For unusually high rankings - those do matter because it just takes ONE team to draft higher. But it takes ALL teams to pass on a player for them to drop.

There's no way Mctavish gets into the late teens. In fact I think he goes top 10 almost for sure.

It is going to be a fascinating night to watch (Edit: read for me. CP, keep the updates coming!).

I am thinking there will be at least one goalie and one odd-ball pick (perhaps one of the Russians goes top 11) so there will be a few of our top rated options, and perhaps a surprising faller available. (ala Fowler).
