According to Spector Edmonton's offer was 4 yrs $3.9 mil. Seattle outbid by $100k

I feel like the Kraken could have an absolute top notch blueline. This could be their second pair and if they draft Gio and sign Dougie watch out

Wow, not a bad deal for Larsson. Oilers get screwed and it shows how players feel about sticking around when they are being outbid by so little.

Also, I really hope this doesn't mean anything negative for Giordano to be selected. Hopefully, that switch is made today and the Flames can start rebuilding a new core.

One would think if the Oilers didn’t make the Keith deal they could have protected Larson and signed him to his rap that was rumored for quite a while.

The Kraken is just a terrible name. Looks terrible sounds terrible. The Kraken the monster is cool. Just does work as a team name.
Also congratulations to Adam Larsson and the Larsson family.

I agree. Seattle Sockeyes I thought would have been the best choice. Makes sense for the area, sounds cool, has a kind of hockey double entendre.

Makes sense; the players under contract from both teams were pretty underwhelming.
I'm sure the success of Vegas is helping to make Seattle a preferred destination for UFAs (in addition to the city).

I think there is a 99% chance they take Gio but I feel like there is a 50-50 chance they keep him or flip him to another team
