Default CP Flames 1st round draft selection (vote #7)

#1: Cole Sillinger: 42%
#2: Mason McTavish: 41%
#3: Jesper Wallstedt: 38%
#4: Chaz (don't call me Chad) Lucius: 55%
#5: Fabian Lysell: 47%
#6: Matthew Coronato: 71%

I have a feeling this will be a landslide but I have a "bonus poll" in mind after this one

Lambos. Just don’t find Raty appealing at all.

Safe vs risky pick. I’ll take the risky pick given how we’re always mediocre

Raty is a big time faller. Can’t remember a top 3 guy falling in rankings this much since Kylington and before that Ebert

I think he goes in the second

Say no to Raty. He's falling hard.

I think duclair was supposed to go top 5 the year before his draft. Sometimes a faller still pans out

How often do big "fallers" in the draft end up turning out huge? I think Corey Perry is an example of a guy who seemed to fall a bunch yet had a great career but I can't think of a ton of others.

I believe Sean Day day had exceptional status and they didn't even go in the first two rounds.

The guys who fall during their draft year tend to not be good.
But the ones who fall on draft day have better records.

Jacob Chychrun fell from being a top-5/top-10 pick to 16th, which was pretty notable on draft day and he's pretty dang good.

I'm pretty OK with this list so far. Would be happy with Sillinger.

#1: Cole Sillinger: 42% #12 Blue Jackets
#2: Mason McTavish: 41% #3 Ducks
#3: Jesper Wallstedt: 38% #20 Wild
#4: Chaz (don't call me Chad) Lucius: 55% #18 Jets
#5: Fabian Lysell: 47% #21 Bruins
#6: Matthew Coronato: 71% --

with 172 CP voting from the list only 6 voted for Coronato: 1qqaaz, Cecil Terwilliger, Eb0la11, howard_the_duck, sekimet, transplant99

there were 72 people really disappointed when Sillinger was on the board right until 1 pick left

There were 37 that were thinking what the heck? when Mason McTavish went 3rd.

There were 57 CPers hoping for someone else's name to be called at 13:

19 wanted Chaz Lucis 17 wanted Jesper Wallstedt 13 Wanted Fabian Lysell and 4 wanted Carson Lambos who went #26 and 4 Wanted Aatu Raty and are hoping he gets passed over 12 more times.

Coronato was basically a unpopular pick going into the draft

No as usual you are using an isolated set of numbers to do your thing, whatever your thing is. Even though he finished in that place in the poll, most agreed they would be happy with any of the forwards in the group.

Is your point to try and be contrary and pour water on everything? if not - what precisely is it that you think you do here?

He was not an unpopular pick. While the votes where more for sillinger a lot of posters put in comments that they would be happy with any of the 6.

With sillinger off the board I have a hard time believing anybody not liking this pick. Sniper that takes pride in 200’ game.

So the poll should have been:

1) don't Know/ don't care
2) The Flames management knows best
3) I will enthusiastically support whoever the Flames pick
4) It doesn't matter who the Flames pick, no one should be critical

Next poll you run put a rider on it.

This poll is totally meaningless and does not reflect the feelings or thoughts or knowledge or research of the people responding.

It is for fun only and should never be compared to actual results
