First trade I didn't seek a second opinion on and the feedback has not been great.
Haha lesson learned

Considering how picks are being sold
15 to min for 5-6 million
26 for 5 million
55 for 2 million,
so that's 10.5million for 10th overall.
with the trades being allowed and not questioned, I can't see how this can be voted down. This is what has been created with the sale of picks

For me it's the quality of the pick coupled with the massive demand to move up. I get how you are outlining the value Doug - and that's fair - I just think a top 10 pick would and could net more.

This is one thing that has bothered me about the sale of picks this season. I know that there has been fewer scouting reports, but there are still clear tiers to the players. Pick 10 is the end of a tier, IMO.
I've been of the general opinion that it takes two picks from the tier below to buy into the tier above. Translating picks into money is a day by day endevour. Sometimes hour by hour. I hate it.

How is this being vetoed?
I thought the point was so that new GMs don't get blown out.
Avs might lose this but it's definitely not a blow out by any means.
And based on the deals he's made so far, he's a good enough GM

I think the value is definitely close but I think he can get more from Minny lol. 2.5M Cheese is nothing to sneeze at

I get why GMs are voting no but I believe 2.5 in cheese makes it good enough to approve. That's a lot of money to a team in a cap crunch.

I gotta agree here, probably could have fetched more but it's not a blow out loss by any means.

My view is for a top 10 pick - multiple 1sts should be included, not a 1st and a 2nd.
But this is why we vote! I'm always surprised when people get ticked off about how the vote is going. We vote to democratize this process. Everyone has their own views of what is fair and what isn't - but this takes it out of the hands of a small group by having the entire league vote.

FYI I had the #10 pick and moved it for #12 and #50 just a few weeks back. Basically a second round pick to just move down two spots. Second round picks have gone for anywhere from 1.5-2.5 million in trades recently. So it basically is #10 + mid/late second-round pick for #20 and #46. Value seems off, maybe if the 46th pick is switched to the 35th pick, it might be a fairer deal.

If rejected Hesla should be given the chance to close the gap. What gets this done, a better pick or more cap? 4 mill?

The cap is on the other side of the deal

Haha yes yes. That’s what I meant. I blame the heat. Mid/late second round as opposed to the cheese going to Colorado

Who is getting ticked off? I understand the need for review. I just want to figure out the value so it’s fair.

Sorry wasn't talking about you, and language was probably stronger than I intended.
was reacting to the "how is this getting veto'd" comment.

I think 20+35+2.5M is probably good enough where I would vote yes for that too. I don't think it's great value but not unfair.
