Flames Preseason: Flames @ Jets. 6pm MT Sportsnet 960. (TSN 3 Jets region only)

Based on practice lines yesterday, there could be a heavy Flames veteran presence. Actual rosters and lines expected later in the day.

Monahan and Tkachuk are expected to play today after nursing some minor injuries.

There is no legal Stream/TV coverage for the Flames region.

TSN 3 will cover the games but will have regional restrictions to the Jets market only.

For anyone living in Winnipeg, my boss gave me a pair of tickets to the game and I have an extra seat. They are row 3 just offset behind the Flames net for two periods. If you'd like to come and watch the game with me send me a PM. It's a free ticket other than having to endure my company

Edit: Gone

Flames pre-season in the Jets TV region. Finally, a day when it pays to be a Flames fan in Saskatchewan.

Braces for comments...

I just don't get the nhl. Why they don't allow us to watch our team is beyond me.

Yes I'm aware about the regional contracts and everything about why it isn't being shown but the NHL should have some sort of rule that if another broadcast isn't available in the other teams region then the blackout rules don't apply.

Let us watch our team.

Hell, the NHL should show all preseason games for free on their pay site to try and attract people to the product.

So that plane could fly directly from Winnipeg to Stockton after the game?

Interesting to see Lack/Gillies as the combo. Any chance there is some unexpected competition or second guessing for the backup role?

Lack is supposed to go the distance so I wouldn't read too much in who the back up is. With it being preseason and the amount of Goalies in camp there is no point to bring a vet like Smith.

No chance. Gillies needs to play, and he won't get that opportunity in Calgary.

You're likely right, but the Flames backup will probably get between 25-30 starts.

Whats the split in Stockton with Rittich?

Will the top line feature:

Tkachuk, Monahan and Poirier?
Or Tkachuk, Monahan and Foo?

I'm pretty sure they did that last season if I remember correctly. No for whatever reason they aren't doing it this year.
