I might give Thiem a shot if he didn't just play eight hours of tennis in two tough matches to reach the final and Novak didn't have an extra day off, but man that seems like a tall order. He also has to play more like he did against Nadal and not Zverev. Just seems like too much to overcome. Maybe hope Novak is overconfident and take it to him early to rattle him. But certainly seems like it reads Novak is no more than four sets, with a potential mauling like last year's final also very possible.

Congratulations to Kenin on her first Grand Slam. Playing like 5th fiddle with ESPN she kinda just did her thing and is the last woman standing.

Just caught up. Kenin is good. Saved so many break points, some from 0-40.
Forget the Osaka-Coco rivalry that clueless ESPN is salivating over. Kenin and Andreescu is the real one. We got a taste of it year in that great match in Toronto.

Lest we forget about young American Amanda Anisimova, she can really pound the ball, needs to work on her consistency, but she's going to be someone to reckon with in the future.

In the context of Kenin's recent major win, this needs a lot more views: https://www.instagram.com/tv/B7-5i5ng2kH/

Sorry, ESPN, you can't show your Coco vignettes 24/7. Instead, it's time to open your eyes after constantly looking for Serena's shadow and realize others have a great story to tell, like Sofia.

Yup. I know it's early in the year but the best thing to happen this year is Kenin bagelling Coco in the 3rd set.
She was also brought up by Kournikova. Maybe now Anna finally has her grand slam.

This match showing why Djokovic has limited popularity. Just turned pouty after an obvious time code violation after excessive ball bouncing. Even tapped the chair umpire on the feet while walking by insulting him. Not a good look that would get you kicked out in many sports.
Go Thiem! He took the 2nd with some great shots leading to 2 breaks.

Poor Thiem I really thought he had it after the third set. Not easy to beat these guys 3 sets. Congratulations to Djoker on #17. Seemed like he was going to blow it after the two time count violations but he was able to pull himself out of the funk. Can we agree the time clock isnt working, leaves no time for nuance . Is it clay court season yet?

If anything the shot clock allows for too much nuance, the rules for it should be clearly defined and firmly enforced. But it was the elite MTO tactics by Djokovic won him that match, and that to me is far more ridiculous than the shot clock.

Or whatever that pink stuff that he chugged like 4 gallons of. And what was up with the Serbia Against The World shirts?
Well my prediction of the goats only defending one major this year is in a precarious spot now. It’s gonna be so weird 5 years from now they’re gone and we’re left with a rotating cast of one time champions like the WTA.

Just catching up on the PVR - Tough one for Thiem, but he definitely looks like the guy to break the 13 consecutive grand slams that have been won by the Big Three.

I think we're going to hear in the next couple of days that Djoker has been fined for rapping the feet of the chair umpire. He was lucky not to get another code violation which would have been a point penalty.

Just saw the graphic that Novak was 0-7 in grand slam finals when down 2 sets to 1. Make that 1-7 now.
