Billie Kay and Peyton Royce probably end up in AEW for sure. In a women's tag team division deperate for talent and teams it's so like the WWE to break up and then release the Iconics
Joe probably got released because of his injury issues

I'd assume this one. He was doing great on commentary. Damn shame, as he was absolutely fantastic. Just could not stay healthy in the WWE.
Edit - Lol, another case of a tag team being broken up for no reason and then both superstars moving to being worse off. WWE is ####ing stupid with its anti tag-team stance. I hope AEW does pick them up and lets them go back to being together.

WWE is terrible with managing tag teams. Heavy Machinery was a solid, fun tag-team that was extremely over. Now Otis has no tag partner, no briefcase, no Mandy, and no push and that saddens me.

I'll be shocked if he isn't released in the next 365 days. I wasn't even considering them though, I was on the IIconics.

If I'm fantasy booking, Joe puts JR and Tony through the announce table, they are never seen again, and Joe and Excalibur call things with Excalibur essentially being Joe's hostage and Stockholm Syndrome co-host.

Samoa Joe really surprises me. My gut is telling me he wanted to be cleared to wrestle again and either WWE didn't clear it, or he did get clearance and they had no plans for him, so he requested his release.
Billy Kay is surprising too, she was fairly over.

I think Joe is no surprise and WWE is going to resign him as a broadcaster which is a different contract.
The rest is chaff except for Billy who is a good performer, and was getting over on the personality side of things. I would think that Peyton who is the more talented of the two would be asking for her release as well.
Mickie probably signs a legends deal she indicated that she was done in the ring.
The rest are pretty well chaff, but I expect a lot more releases. Green never really got a chance, but she seemed to be really injury prone.

Wonder if Tony Khan wishes he had a do-over on his main event choice this week after Jericho did the podcast. I like Darby a lot, but Matt Hardy can just go away.
That said, Young Bucks vs. Fenix/PAC was a great kickoff.

People make the argument in the thread but tay conti for sure and maybe Deanna are the only two they probably regret and would hire back now
Others have done ok to very good, but not a situation where WWE feels they made a mistake
My guess/hope is joe and the iiconics are AEW bound

the smart thing to do, AEW signs Mickie to part time wrestle but coach the woman's division. People forget how good that Trish-Mickie feud was, she was also flat out murdered at the end of her TNA run if I remember right. When she was pushed in front of a moving train
