My wife seems to have misplaced the sync/charger cable for her Ipod Shuffle.
USB to 3.5 mm Stereo plug.

I've seen a 3rd party one at walmart that doesn't use the dock but is just a cable. Should do the same thing.

for $4.99 from dx.com i bought a car charger, and ac charger and it came with 2 "apple" usb cables for my iphone 4 (same connector). The quality wasn't perfect, but the imposters i bought from them work really well.

There stuff is usually higher quality than the branded stuff. My girlfriend has equally psychopathic issus with chargers, chords, etc...

For a few dollars each, I just bought many plugins/chords. Solves a lot of issues in our household.
