depending on where you get it I didn't think it was too too bad. I have two on each forearm and a one on a thigh and it felt or less like if you dragged a screw across your skin.

tattoos with words or quotes will always be tacky and regrettable. I would take some barbed wire over live laugh love.

My brother had a horrid shoulder tattoo he got on impulse when he was 18. He always hated it. 20 years later he doubled down and got a giant tattoo over it that covers most of his shoulder and arm. I think he will end up regretting that too.
My sister got a horrid body tattoo along her torso. I think she still likes it?
Im the only one without a tattoo and really don't get it.

I got a forearm, barbed wire tattoo at the Calgary Tattoo Expo a number of years back. Zero meaning whatsoever but the artist was a friend of a friend and she had free time and I was like why not?
Still like it and am planning on a full sleeve at some point.

Stop incorrectly putting apostrophes into words to try make them plural. It is tattoos, not tattoo's. It is regrets, not regret's. You may as well have put no ragrets.

The honest truth is that the anticipation of pain is what makes the pain. Are there areas on the body that hurt like a sonabyctch. Yeah. But if you haven't gotten a tattoo and go to a friend that has one, they're going to tell you its incredibly painful.
That's what makes them hurt more. You believe its going to hurt so it hurts. Yeah at first it hurts, but your brain does get used to it. The last one I got was a 4 hour tattoo on my shoulder. It felt like maybe at worst bee stings. But it was more like dragging a needle over your arm. It wasn't that bad.
You get a tattoo on a boney area. Yeah it hurts. But no, its not that bad. I've already designed several more to add to my story board arm. I just need to find out from my doc if I can still get tattoo work done while taking blood thinners.

I know a guy with a tattoo on his thigh that says 'Happy Birthday ________' and he used to write in pen on the line a person's name if it was their birthday. He really had commitment to a bit.

This is pretty much bang on, in my experience. I'm sure that some places would hurt more than others, but it's more just uncomfortable for however long it takes.

Its always the reason why I tell people that want tattoo's to not just go into a shop and pick something from a wall. Or get some meaningless thing just to get inked.
Things that are meaningful never go out of style, and can't possibly be cringe worthy.
Also trust your artist on personalized stuff. I got a dragon tattoo that my dad drew. But I paid a bit more time to let the artist clean it up so it would be something that would reputatationally look good for his shop. Not that my Dad's drawing was bad, it just needed some help.
Just like the second one that was a drawing that I liked. I let the artist take a shot at it before putting it on my skin.
I mean fine, if you want to get Calvin pissing on a Liberal Party logo for example. its a trend get it done but prepare for the far more painful laser removal.
Just my thoughts.
Though the next tattoo I really want

I'd love to get some, but I don't want to just get one for the sake of getting one, and I'm not creative enough to think of a good reason or idea
Wife has a sleeve though and I think it looks awesome

The underboob tattoo on women make my knees go weak. So hot.
I'm not tatted, but I think I'll get one to commemorate the 50th anniversary of my birth when the time comes.
