Denis now one service hold away as he leads 5-3 in set 2.
Edit: Or just break Cilic to take the match 6-3 6-3. Denis played well, nothing spectacular, but Cilic was pretty terrible tonight.

Ugh, well that's disappointing. Sandgren didn't win that match, Felix gift-wrapped it to him.

Milos is the lone Canadian moving on as both Felix and Denis are eliminated. Struff takes out Shapo in three sets, Denis could have and probably should have won this match, but much like Felix, didn't close things out when they were serving.

This whole year is essentially a write-off so I don't know how much we should read into results. That said, it is a little concerning that Felix's ball toss is still all over the map which is probably the biggest reason for his serving woes. As for Denis, he should have won the opening set serving for it at 5-4, you need to be able to close out those opportunities. The good news (I guess) is that he is playing some good tennis, Struff just seems to have his number.
