personally I always found if you really listened to a Sutter presser he says ALOT even when he doesn't say much. way more informative than many that blabber on forever

Back when that arrogant arse Glenn Healey was doing color for CBC and was always criticizing any team that wasn't the Leafs or the Rangers I remember Daryl asking, how much did he play for that team that year? I'd say he didn't do a very good job for his coach.

I forgot about how low scoring Sutter hockey was in his Cup runs listening to those clips.

He has the goalie in Markstrom to do it.

Just what this team needs.

We have enough firepower and depth to win those 2-1 games.

His pressers are going to be quite interesting for the next couple weeks...with all the bad habits he has to shed from this team.

Back when he was coaching in Calgary, they'd lost a close game, and a reporter asked Darryl what went wrong, and what they'd change for next game, and Darryl's answer was "I thought we played great."

And that's him a a tee in so many ways. a) he's not going to tell you anything even if he does make a change and b) losing isn't the same as playing poor.

Flames have been playing poorly, it's about to change, win or lose.

Darryl has only ever missed the playoffs in 3 out of his 18 seasons as head coach. Has 2 cups and has made at least the conference finals on 3 other occasions.

Beyond that, IMO the 3 years of this contract have a real chance of propelling him into the top 10 winningest coaches of all time!

Right towards the end, he was complimenting Pat, saying the radio guys do a good job. He told them they were awesome, and did a great job, and chucking, said
