Can we replace Eric Francis on Sportsnet? Please?

I have absolutely had enough of this guy. It's embarrassing that he represents (or thinks he does) the Calgary community.

Please don't click his latest article, he basically pulls all of Gaudreau's quotes from Spittin' Chiclets and that's *his* article about Gaudreau. He gives credit in the body of the article... but not in the headline. So of course I click it... gross

It makes me sick that almost every Sportsnet article about the Flames has this clowns name attached.

Of course he offers himself up for radio spots in other markets and spouts off to anyone that will listen.

Contrast with Winnipeg that has Ken Wiebe who is classy and professional. Can't Sportsnet do better in Calgary? Why do we have to settle for this?

Does anyone have any good suggestions to fix this?

And I'm sorry to even bring attention to this, because he obviously craves the attention. I would just like to see someone else given the opportunity.

Does anyone else want to see a change? Who would you rather see/hear/read?

I feel bad that Lou got fired/demoted in part because of CP (I started one of the threads back in the day).

I wouldn’t feel bad in the slightest if Francis got fired though.

I'm torn on Francis. He's a decent enough guy going by all the interviews and accounts of people having met him, but his articles for the most part suck and he tries to stir up controversy nonstop. Btimbit is right, he's our Brooks/Simmons. A shame that generating controversies is the only way he thinks he can make it. It sucks too because he's done alright non-controversial stuff too like his piece on Chris Snow... He just chooses not to usually.

This is also the guy who went on Oilers radio and said he thought the Flames would be moving to Houston a few years ago while saying different things in our market.
