#Browns# HC Freddie Kitchens: “Of course that’s not who we want to be at the end of the game. That’s not who Myles wants to be. That’s not who we’re going to be. You have to be able to keep your composure. I’m embarrassed. Myles is embarrassed. It’s not good.”
I’d be stunned if Garrett doesn’t get a calendar year for that, he’s very lucky he got Rudolph with the underside of the helmet, could have killed him.

man what a terrible game from Rudolph. Granted, he didn't have a lot to work with after all the injuries during the game, but those were some really bad decisions and throws. He needs to be better, just can't turn the ball over like that.
as for the stuff at the end, I'm pretty disappointed in Pouncey and wouldn't mind a longer suspension. Kicking a player is inexcusable. We've got Browns fans on here I think, so I'm not going to pile on here. Just a collection of some really likable players I guess. We'll see if Goodell has the balls to suspend a superstar.

Of course he will. Kareem Hunt led the league in rushing 2 years ago and just served 8 games.
Tom Brady, Ezekiel Elliott, Marshawn Lynch, Gronk, Leonard Fournette...all in the last few years.
Garrett will get a full season IMO and Pouncey should get at least the rest of this year as well.
What a bizarre episode though. The Browns were a team a LOT of people were cheering for to do well even if it wasn't their favorite club. Now? I'm guessing after that display along with the Randall hit earlier in the game, the way Mayfield has "handled" his business in the media, and their really poor play all year...that good will has sailed.
Ya, Garrett should get something pretty substantial, agreed. Pouncey about half of what Garrett gets, and Rudolph should get a game or two for trying to wrench the helmet off that started that whole sorry display.
We all realize Garrett is going to be gone for some time but IMO Pouncey should probably get a couple of games for kicking Garrett and Ogunjobi should get a game for blindsiding Rudolph. Little doubt Garrett makes the worst decision here but there was a lot of ugliness in this incident.

4 games for Garrett, 2 games for Pouncey, that's my guess.
Yeah but this was WAY over the line as far as "on the field" stuff.
I wouldnt be surprised later today to hear that whatever county Cleveland is in, starts a criminal investigation. This is akin to swinging a stick at a players head in hockey and we have seen that lead to police involvement afterwards.
I mean when your own quarterback is calling for you to be suspended, you know its a big deal. (Mayfield and Rudolph are long time friends and rivals mind you so that plays into it as well).
This thing is bigger than a football story already and has been splashed over every media outlet there is.
Ever since the Ray Rice debacle, it seems Goodell and crew have leaned to the longer suspension route and then allowed the appeal process to confirm or correct it.
Im guessing 10 games for MG and at least 4 for Pouncey whose actions are getting a bit lost in all this.Garrett was pinned to the ground by another Steeler and Pouncey proceeded to punch and then kick Garrett in the head.
This is a big black eye for the league and i expect the discipline to reflect that.

Potential Legal Fallout From the Myles Garrett-Mason Rudolph Fight on Thursday Night
It’s safe to assume that the NFL will suspend Garrett for a period of time after he pulled off Rudolph’s helmet and struck the QB’s with it. Could there be any criminal charges filed beyond the NFL?
Garrett is obviously in the wrong and I would expect criminal charges are also coming. Reminds me of Donald Brashear-Marty McSorley Incident.
At the same time Rudolph will get away with nothing, even though he starts it and then goes after Garrett after hes pulled off the helmet.
Ogunjobi hit was dumb but quite funny.
I'd say Garrett gets games into next year plus he will be charged.
Pouncey likey gets couple of games.
Ogunjobi gets a game.
Rudolph a fine or nothing as they'll portray him as the victim.

He doesn't start it though, it's a late hit on the QB from Garrett. Ball was gone like 5 seconds before he takes down Rudolph.

I would be shocked if there is criminal charges. There were no injuries as far as I can tell.

No it wasn't gone 5 seconds. The second link troutman posted with the breakdown shows Garrett gets there just as Rudolph dumps the ball.
It is not a dirty or vicious tackle, he bearhugs and takes him down. Both of them go down. At this speed its safe for the defensive player to assume the QB is still holding the ball as he cannot see his arms. These hits happen all the time. The ref didn't even throw a flag.
There was no need for Rudolph to try to pull of Garrett's helmet or then go after after him after it was ripped of.
Goes without saying there was absolutely no need for Garrett to rip of his helmet and strike him with it.
Rudolph needs to take fault for the whole mess starting.
