The Town Hall really is huge compared to all of the other modulars. Wish I had it, but it costs way too much money now.
Have the fire brigade / bank / corner garage in my old display cabinet.
Too many modulars now!

We still need to fill out the modulars with minifigs. Was also thinking of getting the custom light mods for the street lamps.

Just watched this build video of the Colosseum. It's a very, very repetitive set (big shock, I'm sure) but the finished model looks great.

Lol bought it for a gift for someone who worked on the movie. I honestly didn't even look at the piece count. I was expecting the size of the original set for some reason.

To keep busy the last few years i've been putting together my old lego sets (added some new ones). don't know if i mentioned it here, but i've been bogged down with some medical issues since spring 2018. It isn't an overstatement in the least to say this has helped kept me sane between medical appts

I am currently staying at my mom's house while she galavanting around the globe post-retirement (but now basically stuck here and in BC) No idea what i'm going to do with all this #### once I move home - probably sell a great deal of it

so far i've built maybe 1/6th of my (and brothers') old sets, plus a handful of the new-ish ones i'd bought the last decade or so

There are more set all over the house, i'm working to consolidate it into one room. but now i need another room

edit: ugh, can't remember/figure out how to link smaller images on imgur

Spoiler!

There is something so weird about the Simpsons’ facial expressions on the mini-figs.

Some fantastic classics in there. If you do want to put the time in, you could probably turn a rather handsome profit off that, if you no longer want it.

Those were the easiest to find pieces for!

that actually reminds me, my mom's neighbour was moving, I think last year, 2018?, and there was a garage full of stuff ready to be picked up to go to goodwill/Samaritans Purse. Two or three had "Lego" written on the side, I or my mom mentioned I was putting together all my childhood lego, later that day it was on our front step. Lots of Ice Planet, Spyrius, Star Wars and town sets in there. That's why I have so may doubles, and a few triples

Time. so much time.

The more classics I put together, the more I'm keen to sell some of the unopened sets in my closet of misfit toys. oddly.

They dropped the ball on a number of those. Sesame Street characters don't look half as bad- at least form the pictures i've seen.

This was pretty cool. A scale replica of the Bow. Wonder if he’s from CP.

I had a proud Dad moment the other day. I was home all day with my four year old daughter and when I asked what she wanted to do the answer was LEGO!

She got a few Frozen sets for her birthday we've been going through. One was Anna's Canoe expedition for ages 4+. This was a really good introduction. The instructions were easy to follow and other than a few times where I had to make her focus on the correct page and a couple tricky steps she pretty much did the entire thing herself in about in hour.

Another one we did was the Storybook. This is the set with 3/4 figures that folds up into a book reminding me of a Polly Pocket. The set was for ages 5 and up but I'm not sure a 5 year old could put this together. The build was simple but they put the instructions on one sheet without detailing the pieces to use. I'm not sure a 5 year old could have figured these out and even if they did there were still a number smaller piece connections that would have been difficult for little hands. I think this is more of a parents put together and kids play set. The play is good though. I liked how there is freedom to put the stickers anywhere and that it folds up nicely and fits on a book shelf.

We also have the Jewelry box to do but it's for ages 6 so I will try and wait at least a year.

My birthday was a few days ago, I treated myself to The Razor Crest! I think it's now my favorite star wars set. It's super cool and incredibly sturdy.

I will blow it up when I get the Lego version of Moff Gideon's Class 546 Cruiser including the platoon of Dark Troopers!

Here's the first building we got lit up. Definitely not worth the price now that I've seen how it's made.

Spoiler!
