Hmm - I would have liked Reider but I feel like Rittich = Kuemper in this case and not Gillies.

Flames were probably offering Gillies but Coyotes wanted a more proven NHL level goalie.

Feels Risky for the Kings though - have to hope Quick doesn't get injured.

Unless Quick gets injured.

Agree though from an everyday perspective turning Gaborik, Shore, and your backup goalie into Phaneuf, Thompson, & Rieder makes them much harder to play against IMO.

Especially if Dion continues to look rejuvenated in L.A. It worried me when he was traded there that he might see a similar jump in performance much like Lucic, Gaborik (pre-extension), etc all had when they went there.

The teams we are directly in contention for the playoff spots with are adding. I think we have to buy or sell. No holding.
