Meh, I don't think about the $4 million dollars, besides isn't that kind of minimum wage for CP members?

Trade?!? WTF dude? Your supposed to puff puff and then PASS.....

Nobody wants Brouwer and his salary, and he has a full No Move.

My only regret with this is that it lessens the chance we can get rid of him to an unsuspecting dummy GM this trade deadline.

Pretty sure he meant trading for someone else to add to the bottom 6...not trade Troy Brouwer...

That sucks for Brouwer. Felt he had been playing a lot better recently. Wonder who they call up? Don't want to see Mangapine. Heard Foo has been playing well. ANy chance its him or Klimchuck?

Assuming this was when he got hit in the face with the puck?

Say what you want about his play, but breaking your face in the first and playing the rest of the game like nothing happens is one tough mofo.

Tough SoB, wasn’t it first shift in the game that he was hurt? Looks like it, as he played the first shift then not until halfway through the first. Ended up playing 12 more minutes in the game.

This may kickstart BT a bit sooner. I don’t think the young guys on the farm are the solution for the run regardless, and vets similar to Brouwer, obviously with a bit more scoring punch and lower price tag, are what BT was looking for to fill and supplant that role that the Stockton guys were doing spot duty in. Now you’re down another vet that’s trusted in that role.

Hope it’s just 10 days or so he’s out, Flames need all hands on deck.

Agreed. If only he was better at Ice Hockey.

Have to give him credit for playing through it last night, even made a couple of good defensive plays late in the game last night.

Recall Jagr?

If he was getting $2 million or less I think most people would be pretty happy with what he's provided this season as he's been better than last season in that he's not making his linemates worse. At $4.5 million more was expected offensively as well as intangibles. That said the team is probably better with him in the lineup as long as he's playing in the bottom 6.

Wrong thread I know, but I was actually wondering about this just yesterday. With him on loan, does he have to finish the current season with his Czech club (however long that may be) to be eligable to come back, like with a WHL player to the AHL? If so, is there any loophole provided by being the owner of that club (like, can he cancel the loan as management?) I betcha this scenario has never come up before.

During the game there was. Essentially took a dump-in (half slapper) into the face.
