For me, it works
I wasn't planning on resigning Yandle and Ferguson is a throw in for me
Jooris and Claesson give me NHL ready young bottom 6/4 guys, and I get my 2nd that I wanted too.
Zuhlsdorf gives me a D prospect who has potential to play in a couple years. He's putting up decent numbers (+/-) at U of M, and is supposed to be a solid defensive defenseman

Not sure how this is better at all, the 2nd round pick is even worse, at least the one I offered had potential for him to snag a 1st rounder.
Also interesting to note that Grant was quick to comment on the previous trade with his thoughts that it was not a good deal, I have a feeling many simply decided to follow the opinion of our fearless leader considering he was the first to chime in.
No comment from Grant on this one?

I mean I also gave up two prospects and an NHL forward

Lord knows people freely disagree with me all the time on CPHL subjects. Not sure why that would be different in this case.
I'm still mulling this one over. I don't know the players involved so need to read up on them.
So i don't have a strong gut reaction, which probably means its OK.
I think your deal stunk and I said so.
I get that GMs dont' like it when their deals get rejected. They never have. At least now it isn't in the commissioners' hands. The system works well. Except GMs still get in a snit when their deal doesn't go through.

OK now that I look at it I actually agree that this deal is not better than the one that Dave offered. I don't like the fact the pick sits a year out, and the additional players are largely bit guys that won't amount to anything.
I don't see it being a good return for Yandle.
But if the league feels overall it is good then it goes through!

I do see how it is different, it’s worse!
I was offering a solid 2018 2nd that is trending to be an early pick in the round. We draft before the NHL so there is an opportunity for him to snag a 1st rounder with my deal.
This new deal the pick is in 2019 and the 3 players added are 4th liners and are a dime a donzen.
So I personally would prefer the opportunity to snag a 1st rounder over what he just got.
When you have crap and then add crap too it, it’s still crap.

At work, didn't have time to look up the players. Claesson was a guy that I recall liking at one time but he hasn't trended well. So needed time to pull up the players involved. If manwiches likes the prospects that's good.

Maybe I'm not up to date with Claesson. I thought he was turning into something. Sorry Dave. I may have voted without all the facts on this one.
I still don't like the first deal though.

I am 100% at peace with the rejected trade, that’s not my issue. My issue is that this trade is worse and should not be approved.
I think he can do better.

Meh, Claesson is young and on a bad team. Hell, even Karlsson sucks this year, Claesson will be fine. Happy to replace him if need be but I think this deal is more than fair

Didn’t see a problem with the previous deal. I think this deal is worse but still seems fine. That 2nd is going to be the last pick in the 2nd.

I don't know what to vote.
I voted for a good deal last time and it got rejected. This is a worse deal IMHO and no disrespect. If we have a system to guide new GM's from making the same mistake each of us made in our first weeks then shouldn't we vote for the best for the new team and not vote against the team receiving
Don't get me wrong, I think getting a 2nd for Yandle would be a move I would be happy with, too bad the new team needs to wait two years before it gets picked.
I don't know what to vote, it's a good deal but the better one got shot down so, therefore, shouldn't this one. Its beocme common place that "I would have offered more" but the reality is most times it's not the case
