Well I hope Scorp passed his tests and his wisdom teeth wounds healed up as quickly as mine did.
Whatever happens, happens. I have nothing further to say.

He had some personal matters. I don’t believe it was intentional and have discussed with him
The Keith situation has nothing to do with this
He has 48 hours to match and be in position to match
Such drama over quite frankly a very risky contract
I can completely see that fisher plays this season but then doesn’t officially retire in the off season meaning the team with the player could be stuck with a horrible contract
I wouldn’t touch that contract with a 100ft pole and I’m somewhat stumped that two gms are fighting over who gets that bad deal going forward
But the rules of how will be awarded haven’t changed. He has 48 hours

My bet, Nashville asked him to join the team and finish the season.
They clearly believe they can win the cup.
I would think Fisher retires in the off-season.

With the deadline past, we look forward to seeing where Fisher ends up.

Well I guess that’s it then, the man has spoken.
Just a couple questions for clarification:
1. I notice a watchdog fine disappeared from his roster page today, that seems highly unusual to me. Why?
2. He shared his roster and it looks pretty solid, but is hiding CPHL starters in the AHL (I assume to be able to match my offer). Example: Vatrano. Who will be monitoring his Cphl lineup?
Thanks.

I can answer both questions for you, Dave.
1. That watchdog fine failed to take into consideration my pending move for Alec Martinez. Regardless of the fine, I would've been able to match your offer
2. I'm not playing Vatrano until he's in the CPHL. I'm going to waive McClement and send down Balcers to make room. Until then, McClement will take Vatrano's spot in the lineup -- that's simply my "ideal" lineup. Vatrano is the only player who meets your specified criteria.

You should send a thank you note to the league. Deciding not to fine you at all for the Keith Fiasco just gifted you a 76OV player.
That’s a big addition to any team.

Um, no? If the (wrongful) watchdog fine had been upheld and any additional fine had been levied, I would've made arrangements to gather more salary.
Over the last week, the Islanders have entered an enormous state of flux and I wouldn't have had any issue continuing on it and clearing more assets to make room.

You are at max Cheese, you can’t acquire more $$$
Maybe I should have hid CPHL players in the AHL to increase my offer so that you would have had no chance of matching. But I didn’t, shame on me I guess.
There is a lot wrong here IMO and I think I have done the best job I can to communicate that.
I’m not willing to spend any more energy on this. Good luck with Fisher.

I've typed up three replies and deleted them because I'm not too sure how deep I want to get into this
I would be pissed if I was the Sharks

Fine. I'll resign so someone else who can manage this team better can take control of this ship -- is that what everyone wants? And you can have Fisher, MJK, because clearly I haven't earned him.
I'll send my resignation in to Jiri now.

Well now I feel bad, I certainly don’t want you to resign. This has less to do about you, you obviously did nothing wrong (no fines and got the player). Kudos for getting your stuff in order.

Not what anyone is saying, and just because 1 Gm doesn't agree with a decision doesn't mean he is right as well.

Which reminds me, I may have to bump gabo-gate again for entertaining reading purposes
CPHL stories are slow, a blast from the past may be in order. pretty sure Photobucket killed the graphics though

Gabo-gate? There's more?
I don't wanna resign, I just felt like it might be the best course of action based on your guys' words so if you don't want me to then I won't, I didn't send in an express resignation to Jiri but I asked for some advice and whether he would accept a resignation, along with an apology.
I'd like to apologize once again here to the entire league for my careless and inconsiderate behaviour in the month of January. To Dave -- I respect you as a GM, even if you can be a ruthless penny-pincher of a trader, and I want us to continue making deals as long as they're fair. I'm sorry for all that's happened and I can assure you all that it won't happen again.
That's all.

First, the watch dog was reversed because indeed he had a trade complete. I am traveling today and didn’t notice it when anothe commish made the fine.
Second the Keith situation has no bearing on this ruling.
Third he had the cap room and is roster compliant so what is the issue?
