Last year was probably his most active for fighting. I think it took a while for him to get his confidence in fighting back after his head injuries. So maybe his concussion issue is lessening? I say that as someone who knows pretty much nothing about concussions except that they are individualized.

He also was 6-0 in his fights last season. He successfully backs up what he dishes out.

Apparently he is doing okay playing ball hockey in Montreal right now. He's no Alex Burrows, I guess, only 'B' div.

Listening to the latest Spittin' Chiclets and Biz mentions that it took Ferland this long to sign because he wanted to come back to Calgary. Obviously cap reasons were probably part of the problem, but he also mentions that he doesn't think Calgary was willing to go 4 years.

Well that sucks
4 x 3.5 is very fair for Ferland. Even with his injuries he has been worth that every year he’s been in the league I think

It sucks but it’s also not surprising based on the comments Treliving made, insinuating there was an issue with effort.

Ferland can play on my team any day. Too bad after holding out for Calgary if true that he ended up going to Vancouver at a good price. Seems that either way he wanted to play in Western Canada. He'll be hard to play against.
70+ games over the last 4 seasons. 40+ points his last 2 seasons. Can produce with skilled players like Gaudreau, Aho, Monahan which sounds easy in theory but a lot of players for whatever reason cannot do that. Would have allowed Ferland to go back to top line and move Lindholm to center on 2nd line. Would really strengthen our top 6. Adds skill and grit we were missing against Colorado.

Well the first team he played was from Vancouver, so I doubt they were going to do anything to him... Maybe Dan, I guess.

Burrows was banned from it by the Canucks.
Found out Michael'd be 'A' div but Manitoba doesn't have an 'A' division.
