Jake Boltmann is a defenseman from Edina who is right on the cusp of whether or not he will be drafted on Wednesday. Boltmann split time between Lincoln of the USHL and Edina last season and is expected to do the same in his senior season in 2020-21. Boltmann is ranked the #113th North American skater in the Central Scouting ratings, but his size at just 6’0 and 180 pounds leaves a bit to be desired. Boltman may need to be seen more at the junior level before potentially being drafted a year from now.
Committed to the University of Minnesota starting whenever college hockey comes back

Played with koumontzis in Edina high a couple years ago
Koumontzis hasn't exactly developed like hoped.
Whichever scout is focusing in this area better be right, this is two in his ledger.

Pretty underwhelming stats in for USHS-MN, considering other defensemen in the same age and same league had 2.0 points per game.
Also underwhelming stats in the USHL.
Don't know what else to say or think.
Dusty Bergstrom 50 points in 25 games
Hayden Hennen 46 points in 24 games
Jase Jensen 54 points in 24 games
Jake Boltmann 13 points in 25 games. Plus he's almost a year older than the 3 players above.
He must be another pure defensive defenseman, because he's ranked higher than those 3. Bergstrom, Hennen and Jensen might not even be drafted.
Even in the USHL, Boltmann was only 4th on his team in defense scoring (although he only played 17 games).
