Someone suggested it in the other thread but, this series is so good it's dominating the thread.
Also, it's probably the best television ever done so it deserves a thread of it's own.

I can't find it but somewhere else I read that Lyudmilla's daughter who died after 4 hours (or days?) had absorbed the radiation and basically kept her alive. The state buried her with her Dad unmarked, so she would crawl on her hands on knees to leave flowers at the grave site of her husband.
