It isn't that weird that a puppet for Bannon and the Russians would move so woodenly.

This article echoes my feeling that we should be careful what we wish for.

I want Trump gone as much as anyone, but there better be a rock-solid case for impeachment, because his supporters are going to be up in arms if he's impeached. They voted for him because they believe the system is corrupt, and if the system removes their golden boy it could lead to revolution.

The US might even need something like a revolution, this alternate reality that so many live in has to be burst somehow.

Revolution in the US is completely unrealistic and a waste of time to worry about. There are not enough unemployed young men in the US for revolution to be even a remote concern. Revolutions happen in places with large proportions of teenagers relative to people over 35.

There are very, very few people in the US who would be able to participate in a revolution, as they all have families, commitments, debt, and jobs. While an uptick in isolated incidents is definitely worth being concerned about, sustained violence is wildly improbable. The time to get worried is if you start seeing Great Depression (25%) levels of unemployment. That's the time to worry.

I think it's more likely that a good chunk of his base points to the corruption and simply decides it's not worth it to vote anymore as "my vote clearly doesn't matter in a corrupt system!"

The first two foreign trips for Bannon include the spiritual home of Muslims, Saudi Arabia (he hates Muslims) and the spiritual home of Jews, Israel (he likewise hates Jews). Almost like Kushner set this trip up just to show Steve who's boss.

Supreme Court strikes down two new district maps in North Carolina due to unconstitutional gerrymandering. The redistricting serves to concentrate African Americans into areas with already high African American population to dilute vote influence.

For District 1 it was struck down 8-0 and District 12 struck down 5-3.

Also given that Flynn is pleading the fifth today, should be a fun Spicer briefing when this gets brought up

Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross was.. boasting(?) about how there were no protesters against Trump in Saudi Arabia. That could be because protesting will get you publicly flogged and disappeared into a Saudi jail maybe? So stupid...

And it is punishable be death if they choose.

On the Flynn thing, there's a criminal investigation underway, so he'd be incredibly stupid not to take the 5th. Even if he was easily proven innocent here, he'd be taking the 5th. It's interesting from a hypocrisy angle, but otherwise no.

It's just so wonderful is this day and age to see true love shine through. There's no debating after seeing this that they married for love and that she didn't just shack up with him for his money, and that deep down she utterly hates him. Suggesting that is FAKE NEWS!

good gerrymandering in the south is a major problem that seems to get worse over time, not better

this was a good step, but towards keeping it 'less bad' rather than making it better...

still, one can hope...
