Non stop sirens, about 5 fire trucks, 2 ambulances at the condos behind the ice rink.

Anyone know what's going on?

Had a grizzly in the hood this week, maybe he came back with some friends.

I heard them come into the community, but that's it. No clue what it could have been though. I assumed a house fire.

More trouble in the Lowlands:

Grizzly bear in southwest Calgary prompts closure of Griffith Woods Park

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calgar...sure-1.4308885

Hoskin said it is now an offence to go into Griffith Woods Park and is asking the public to stay away as using the park could be dangerous to both the user and the bear.

Bear has been around for almost a week.

Hopefully he gets out intact.

Love that my son now walks home 1.9 km! I told him he doesn't have to out run the bear, just his two friends.

As I've posted in another thread, make sure he carries bear spray.

Not for the bear, but to spray his other two friends, so it makes them easier to out run.

Plus they will be well seasoned and tastier for the bear.
