Or possibly one of a over a million people that instantly went with "It was a Muslim Extremist" without getting all the facts first.

Who Knows!

True, but that is the fastest, best descriptor at the time. If you say "Someone ran into a crowd" you then have to elaborate on what they ran with? Legs? Car? Truck? Van?

"Car drives into crowd" is the fastest headline you can get that most succinctly describes the article.

Was working a block away when it happened. Didn't realize it at the time, but only missed being in the path by 2 mins. Pretty surreal. Our training building was locked down for about 30 minutes due to terrorist concerns.

Have some unreal photos of the car and area. Can't post now, but not sure I will ever see Time Square empty again like that again in my life.

Yeah, the nerve of people automatically thinking a Muslim would drive a vehicle threw a crowd.

Thinking it, sure. Declaring it without any evidence is another story.

It's a message board, not a courtroom.

Nothing to do with drug induced psychosis. the man wanted to kill as many people as possible. He just happened to be on drugs, while doing so.

I agree the guy was a nut case but without the drugs I'm not so sure he would have carried out this heinous act, angel dust was popular during the Vietnam war because of some of it's side effects, it made people believe they were stronger, faster and more likely to act aggressive and violent against the enemy, take enough you believe you're a super soldier. problem is, sometimes the enemy wasn't real or may have been a 9 year old child or even a fellow soldier. I remember a story where soldiers cried and blamed the dust for them killing a bunch of civilians in a village. There was also stories of cover ups involving "friendly fire" deaths.

A high dose of PCP can really mess a person up.
