@Rapsheet:
Sources: The #Rams have re-worked All-World DT Aaron Donald’s 3 remaining contract years to give him a massive $40M raise through 2024, making him the highest paid non-QB in NFL history at 31 years old. He gets $95M(!) through 2024.

The Denver Broncos have entered a purchase and sale agreement with the Walton-Penner family ownership group, the sides announced Tuesday night.

Terms of the agreement, which will transfer the franchise from the Pat Bowlen Trust to the group led by Walmart heir Rob Walton, were not announced.

The NFL's finance committee and the league's owners will need to approve the sale. Twenty-four yes votes from owners are needed for approval.

"We are thrilled to be selected to move forward with the purchase of the Denver Broncos," Rob Walton said in a statement.

4.65 billion! Wow!

For the Broncos even. What are the Cowboys worth? Jerry Jones' great great great great great grandkids are set.

The funny thing is $4.65 billion is going to be viewed as pretty disappointing from the other owners, there was a lot of hope the price would go above $5 billion.

Has to be a pretty small pool of people that can afford to shell out $5 billion for what's essentially a club membership as the profits NFL teams turn isn't reflective of the investment cost.

Most all the groups that were in the bidding were a bunch of poors trying to bundle money together to afford it. I think the wal mart fella immediately becomes the richest NFL owner by a fair margin, believe I saw he was worth almost 30 billion. Hopefully it works out well.

The concern is that he’s only buying a team now as it’s a safe investment with a global recession on the horizon and markets in the tank. Hopefully he’s invested for the right reasons and wants to support the team. The stadium talk has been nonstop and Denver’s due for a new one. Time to sit back and enjoy WalMart stadium at Mile High

It's funny, you posted this and my immediate thought was:

"What are you talking about Denver just opened a new stadium"

But that was 2001, which is 20 years ago already now. #### time flies.

When I think of Siragusa the first thing that comes to mind will always be the body slam on Rich Gannon in the 2001 AFC Championship game. One of the dirtier hits you a QB you will ever see and it didn't even draw a flag. That play ensured the win though and ticket to the Super Bowl. Outside of that he did sound like a pretty good dude.

A slow Saturday on the NFL calendar has picked up considerably.

With the NFL knowing that coverage of all things Deshaun Watson is unavoidable, the league steered the emergence of reports into a window where they could be less noticed.

And here we are. At 6:05 p.m. ET, the Wall Street Journal posted an item from Andrew Beaton that contains this extremely noteworthy nugget. The league “is pushing for an indefinite suspension that would last no shorter than one year for Watson.”

So that leaves the Browns without at QB potentially? In a division with Joe Burrow, Lamar Jackson, and now Kenny Pickett in Pittsburgh (too early to call).
