I just went to Ticketmaster and plugged in the code. I'll look again and see what prices are now.

Yeah, there are a bunch for $64.75

My app wasn't working so I tried the site and something went wonky. I reloaded the app and the proper prices are there. Thanks

You have to be careful when you search for ticket sales on Google. There are lots of resellers that rank high who jack up the prices or have them in US dollars. Always best to go to the comedian or artists website and follow the links from there.

I can only wonder if the Will Smith slap of Chris Rock has now emboldened people to "take care" of comedians they don't like now?

It sounds like the attacker had some kind of obsession with Dave Chappelle. He wrote this song about him:

It's always been happening, if anything it will just make the media pay attention to it more now

Chappelle is not messing around with his security detail right now. Went to see him in Vancouver, and a guy in the front row had a cell phone. A group of very large people escorted the guy out.

Stavros has to be break out comedian of the year. Didn't know who he was a year ago but he already has the aura of a heavyweight comedian about him. Great look, great voice, great jokes, great identity and one of the best stand-up specials of the year:

Just got home from seeing Bill Burr at Rogers Arena in Vancouver. Fantastic show. My number one comedian.

Saw Bill Burr’s afternoon show at the Great Outdoors festival yesterday.

Was looking forward to this for weeks - he’s my my favorite comedian… but I left disappointed. Most of his material seemed to fall flat and the crowd didn’t really get into it.

The set was scattered full of random comments. Not a typical Burr performance.

Just my opinion, and I hope he killed it during the evening show. Chalk it up to jet lag?

I was at the later show and I have to agree. It almost seemed like he was unprepared? I did love how he kept ripping on the FreeDumb idiots though, you know there were some of them in the crowd.

Also at late show. Why so many wife-beating comments? Long story about mushrooms was long. The opener was good, the MC terrible.

Haven't been to a comedy show since pre-pandemic days so my wife and I are checking out Dan Mintz tonight. She's a big Bob's Burgers fan and his stand up is great.

NSFW and reasonably offensive stuff in here.

He's funny, but man oh man I can't reconcile the voice with the person. That's Tina's distinctive voice coming out of a man. Just... nope... does not compute, brain gets blue screen of death error.

I have only seen two stand up comedy shows in person. I used to love watching A&E's Comedy Improv shows back in the 80s and early 90s. During the pandemic I started watching some clips on YouTube or other social media sites. I was lured into watching videos of Steve Hofstetter dealing with hecklers. It seems like that is his specialty but I really enjoyed some of his acts.

This is my favorite bit from him so far:

Steve's hilarious and a super nice guy too. We've chatted via Facebook Messenger and had a good conversation after one of his shows in Toronto.

He purposely doesn't put regular material up on social media (not until it's a special anyway). He uses hecklers and crowd work.

This is my favourite video of his, but that may be because I was at this show:
