Many stories in the past of how the organization (under several different regimes) would periodically use Loob as a go-to for opinions on Swedish players. Guy's a Forever Flame. It's high time they paid him.

Felt like a long time coming. For anyone that has been a fan of the team since they arrived in Calgary, Loob has to be remembered as one of the all time greatest Flames and just an icon of what this team was. I would bet that he will help this organization improve in the long run.

Love it. He was my favourite player when I was a kid and it's great to have him back with the Flames.

I wouldn't be surprised if Loob has designs on an NHL management job. I think this is his decision to get back into the League.
