Btw, these guys must be huge in Germany compared to here. I saw them at UofC and the crowd was a tenth this size and a quarter as enthusiastic.

That video is 6 years old. Back when Billy Talent first came out they were quite popular but that was probably 10 years ago. I don’t think they’re as popular as they once were.

You may be confusing timelines of their success, Sliver. Like Cecil said, that's an old video. I don't recall them playing Mac Hall so I'm not sure when that was, but they absolutely blew up in Canada more so than anywhere else.

In the mid to late 2000's they played to near or capacity crowds on arena tours. For example, check this video out of a sold out Rexall place. 12000 people and the crowd and floor were awesome.

Start around 1:00, there's like 3 different mosh pits at various points in the crowd and that's just what the camera picked up.

And then here's three years later, still at Rexall, better quality video. Billy Talen was hugely popular all over the world for awhile but never more so than Canada.

2:55 on that one to get a sense of it.

OMFG. I just looked up when I saw them at Mac Hall. I thought maybe five or six years ago. October 2004. That's so weird.

I was at that show. It's funny how once you hit 30 everything feels like 5 years ago whether it's 5 or 15.

Mexican street corn, the spicy chicken arepa and deep fried banana peppers. That's about it for me.

Cookie dough ice cream sandwiches are about all I can handle I think. Maybe the inside out caramel apple.

I might be tempted to try the Squid, but that's about it, I guess its sticking to the traditional BBQ this year.

Heard this is the last year of the cowboys tent? Their lease is up and the wild horse saloon guys are taking over the space next year? Anyone else hear that?

Not a fan of the bug items / prairie oysters / kangaroo. Just looks unappetizing from the pics. Everything else looks good though.

Has anyone ever paid to see Sloan? I've seen them a few times and always for free.
