Nice! Only been there once, over a decade ago in New Orleans. But I recall I could've eaten an entire large bucket's worth of those southern biscuits.

Now, if we get a Sonic in Calgary, that would be newsworthy.

Ahh an Oklahoma company! I grew up on Sonic! Happy hour , $1 dollar route 44 drinks and cheese tater tots! Their burgers are delicious!

It's nice to have dreams!

Calgary Wishlist:

Qdoba
Sonic
Braums Ice Cream ( wont happen as it's a huge diary farm in Oklahoma and can only support Oklahoma, Texas, and Kansas stores)

and a good donut place ... I can't stand the taste of Tim's donuts.

Rob, I wouldn't mind In-N-Out but I really don't get excited about them as much as my friends do. 5 guys taste similar to me

Sorry to derail the thread and turn it into a fried chicken thread but has anyone had Cluck'n Cleaver? how does that compare to other local joints (KFC, Chicken on the way, korean places or Popeye's)?

I thought it was not bad but i still think chicken on the way is better. it's been awhile since i had chicken on the way though.

Shake Shack would be sweet. Although I think Clive Burger is pretty close in terms of that type of burger.

Has anyone mentioned Popeye's mashed potatoes and spicy gravy? That stuff's ambrosia. You should love it, and if you don't you're stupid and your face is dumb.

I don't really mean that but seriously so good. And get cajun sparkle for the chicken, very delicious.

Meekly, I say, "I know, right?"

I'm pretty amused at this point. She points to my then-pregnant wife and I get chastised for only buying like a three-piece meal. "SHE HAVING A BABY! YOU NEED TO GET SOME CHICKEN IN HER! YOU THE HUSBAND! SHE NEED TO EAT!" Believe me, the all caps is necessary.
Seriously, this might be my CP post of the year. I have read it 3 times and I am still giggling. "mmmm hmmmm.... you gonna want one of them biscuits." is pure gold. Well done sir.

I went shortly after it opened, parking was annoying cause it's near 17th ave...probably a better choice for chicken fans who live in the area and can walk. the lineup was big, but that was mostly cause they were only fulfilling orders at a rate of maybe one every 10 minutes. that added up to an atrocious 60+ minutes before we got ours. hopefully that was just opening kinks cause there's no chicken worth that wait even if it makes fireworks fly out of your butt as you eat.

the chicken itself had a somewhat unique spice, almost indian. it was alright but not as crispy as a good Korean fry. so haven't been back. but if you're already in that part of town, and assuming they're faster now, it's obviously a better option than the local KFC.
