New Kanye is basically what you'd expect, some good production with some truly humiliating lyrics. I think it's about time he retire from rapping and go back behind the boards 100% of the time. Lyrics on the last three albums have been embarrassing.

Violent Crimes is a particularly egregious waste of nice production.
Thoughts on the new Eminem? I would say there are about 3 good songs and they’re not incredible. He still has it at 45, but there’s just something lacking.
I would describe it as unremarkable. I've listened to it 3 or 4 times thru and nothing really jumps out. Nothing terrible about it but nothing particularly memorable either. I feel like he hasn't put out anything great since Recovery. That album, especially the last half, was incredible. Everything since then has been forgettable.
I'll give it a few more listens, but I think it was just okay. I hate politically driven music personally, and his last album was a mixtape of the popular trump hating variety, and because of that alone I didn't like it (the theme). But the guy is a music genius, and to me the best rapper out there, so even if he's 45, his forte is insulting people and he should keep doing it. All this politically motivate bs, naa - leave that to other people.

Not everything can be the greatest ever... but his new album is dope. Straight up, dope. I don’t care what the haters say, I love listening to Eminem go off.
