Have you ever refereed a game? It is fast paced, you are exercising and attempting to see the game at the same time as well as process calls out of your peripheral vision.

I don't have any issue with someone disagreeing but what you said made no sense at all considering the official saw the play, then blew the call. It is kind of weird to say I don't like the hit but the NHL can review it later so it doesn't matter if the officials don't do their job during the game. Except it does matter.

It is the nature of sports and officiating the game, the game isn't officiated poorly because of complacency but rather because it is an incredibly fast paced game and it is very difficult to do. They don't have the benefit of being 50 feet above the play with the ability to slow it down and see it from different angles. They have to see something once and then make a snap decision about the severity and from there make a decision in a short timeframe. The officials in the NHL are amazing at what they do and the armchair referees who think that they could do better often times have no idea of the complexities of the job.
