Speaking of the fight song, I really wish they’d play it at McMahon more often. I think they only played it once this season.

I also don't think you can discount (i) how well Ottawa played in the 2016 GC , and (ii) how that loss has made the Stamps even better in 2017. Look at the playcalling by Dickenson and the composure by Bo in the West Final. The defence not breaking after giving up the two early touchdowns. The Argos should be happy just making it to the Grey Cup, the Stamps have been focused on winning it for the past 12 months.

Ha! You're just a young guy -- there have been many more heartbreaking losses over the years... 1990 against the Kings, 1991 against the Oilers... The Stamps losing all of those playoff games in the mid-90's when they were the best team in the league...

While there have been some disappointing losses (2016 tops the list for me), there have been some surprising wins as well (2001 and 2008). There should have been at least one more Grey Cup championship in the Flutie years as well. As far as 2012 is concerned, I didn't think the Stamps would win that game, so although I was disappointed in the final result, it wasn't a kick to the gut like last year.

I feel pretty good about the team's chances this year mainly because of the defense and special teams. As always, ball security will be key and weather conditions on Sunday could play a huge factor.

2012 was tough but when Kevin Glenn is starting you are never guaranteed winning a big game. Last season was worse because they were such a better football team than the Redblacks and it was simply a matter of players not being in the proper mindset as they didn't respect their opponent that day and it showed.

No for sure, I was shocked when I saw how often the Flames lost in the early 90's in the first round, I had no idea.

Also, checking out a bit of the head coach press conference today, I move that any media member who asks the question "are you allowing your players to have sex before the game" be stripped of their credentials and fired into the sun immediately. So lame and creepy.

"So uhh, whats your policy on uh, heh, players engaging in...sexual endeavours before the game, heh heh." Go away dude.

Great article on 3rd Down Nation on Bo Levi: http://3downnation.com/2017/11/22/ev...levi-mitchell/

Confirms he injured his shoulder during the regular season (and apparently made it worse carrying his infant daughter during the bye week ).

The mayor's bets are set for Sunday between Naheed Nenshi and John Tory...

The losing mayor will contribute $5 for every point scored by the winning team to a food bank in the winning mayor’s city.

Losing mayor will also send the winning mayor a selection of local craft beer.

The losing mayor must wear the winning team’s jersey and read a poem written or selected by the winning mayor at their next city council meeting.

They should have had the losers pay for a stadium for the winning city. Now those are high stakes.

May be the premiers of both provinces should get into the action to benefit the food banks.

I wonder if Nenshi will get people to donate and issue tax receipts if Calgary loses...

Probably not but it didn't seem to bother him in the West Final (the wind didn't help).

Weather forecast looks better on Saturday than it does on Sunday - Light rain on Saturday with a high of 7 while Sunday is calling for a few flurries and a temp of -2.
