Well, that was fast. The fan who assaulted Grealish yesterday has already been convicted and sentenced to 14 weeks in jail, plus a ten year ban from all UK soccer stadiums.

According to Reddit, 10 years is the longest they can give for this kind of order. Birmingham City has banned him from their stadium for life, however. Apparently a banning order like this means he has to report to a police station every time Birmingham City plays a home game... for those ten years. That's one way to prove he isn't violating the order.

Haha! Really? That seems like it would be a gigantic pain in the ass!

If true that's amazing. But I suspect it isn't.

Reading more, it looks like it is a half truth. Despite what a bunch of people on the Reddit threads were saying, it likely doesn't apply to domestic matches, but it does to international matches. Namely, someone under such a banning order can be required to surrender their passport and report to a police station when the relevant home country national team plays abroad.
Such a person can also be barred from going to bars in the area of stadiums and from using the national railway system during specific periods.

and of course there's the soft pen, Marriner couldn't wait to give that. As if they needed any help ...
EDIT: and the offside goal to cap it off. And of course there's no VAR for this particular FA Cup tie, because ... reasons.

Clearly the 'Fix is in' but predictably the officials still screwed up because they gifted it to the wrong Manchester club...

Did United give the long term position to OGS? I was hoping they would before the regression gets rolling.
