Kings of Anti-tennis on a clay court final was Senator's dream I thought
Yeah, I think you're right Jack, although I believe Corsi has uttered similar thoughts regarding watching servebot tennis. I'll just say this, both Opelka and Isner have some pretty soft hands for big dudes.
I wasn't going to watch it even if it was Garin v Nick. But Isner Opelka might be funny? Yeah, still no.
I really feel like there's no one to cheer for lately. Hope Bianca is on form when she returns.

Bublik just sent Stan the Man packing in Monte-Carlo. Stan played some fine tennis for the first couple of sets, but faded badly in set 3. Bublik takes it 3-6 7-5 6-2

isn't the problem that hawkeye is not accurate on clay? dirt moving around, lines not painted or the line tape is embedded under the surface etc... Each clay court is different.

I don't know GS, I think part of it is tradition (i.e. the umpire getting out of the chair to check a ball mark if required) and also that certain people don't believe Hawk-Eye is required because there is a ball mark to check. The problem occurs when the umpire either can't find the mark or is looking at the wrong mark.
Felix awaits the winner between Musetti and Paire (that match will be played on Tuesday). Whomever emerges victorious will provide a stern test for FAA on the clay.
I believe she got a wildcard to play in Stuttgart next week but this still seems like a disaster waiting to happen. You haven't been playing at all for 6+ months and your doing so on easily your worst surface? Head scratcher for sure.

As a pro, she hasn't had great results on clay, but I think she was pretty good as a junior on the dirt and back in 2019, she said the following:
"Clay is one of my favorite surfaces. I think my game really suits that. I love sliding on the court. I mean, I slide on every court, but it's easier on clay! It's easier on the body, too. So I'm looking forward to it."
