Looking for a Book Editor

A friend of mine has been picking away for the last few years writing about his experience hiking the Appalachian Trail.

He's not looking to be a full-time author in the future, but would like to finish his book.

He says he's willing to pay, but again isn't looking to pay through the nose for a passion project (my words, not his).

If anyone knows anyone or has experience. There's no timeline, just looking for help.

I can recommend this fellow, who's a Montreal-based editor who happens to also be an avid hiker and spends time in the north Appalachians. I know he's edited some passion-project-type books in the past. Not sure that he's currently looking for projects, but I've worked with him in the past and my wife works with him on a regular basis and we'd both recommend him.

My buddy is overwhelmed by the sheer amount of people that reached out with suggestions and direction.

He said he was ready to give up, but reached out, and the epic response has fuelled him to get it done.
